From Intel’s press release:

Intel, under Otellini´s leadership, achieved notable successes in areas of strategic importance. During this period, the company:

  • Reinvented the PC with UltrabookTM devices
  • Greatly expanded business partnerships and made strategic acquisitions that expanded Intel´s presence in security, software and mobile communications
  • Delivered the first smartphones and tablets for sale with Intel inside

Apple reinvented the Ultrabook PC when they introduced the Macbook Air, not Intel.

I can’t name one business partnership that was truly significant to Intel.
And yes, there are a few mobile phones and tablets out there with Intel inside, but ARM by far rules this world with over 95% market share here.

Couldn’t they come up with anything better?
